Introduction

Beijing is the capital of R.P. China. It enjoys a moderate continental climate and has an average rainfall of about 500mm yearly. The temperature is in the range of -15-38 °C. Beijing is covering an area of 16,808 sq. km and is divided into 16 districts and two counties. In 2004, Beijing had a population of more than 14.5 million.
